About the Book

This new volume covers new advances in materials science and engineering technology, focusing on practical rather than theoretical aspects that are useful for the design, fabrication, testing, and industrial application of advanced materials and structures. It provides an overview of modern ferrites with special attention to their structure, types, and properties, discusses the impact of technological change upon the application of selected materials and energy resources, and presents case studies in thermophysics and applied mechanics for engineering technology that illustrate the physical, chemical, and material properties of a range of modern materials.

Table of Contents:
SECTION 1: MODERN FERRITES: EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS 1. Synthesis and Mechanism of Functionalized Ferrite Nanoparticles for Water Splitting Applications 2. Biomedical Applications of Magnetic Nanomaterials/Ferrites 3. Study on Magnetic and Magnetoelectric Properties of BiFeO3 Multiferroic Systems 4. Ferrites: Physics and Applications 5. A Rudimentary Analysis of Room Temperature Multiferroic: Bismuth Ferrite SECTION 2: ENERGY MATERIALS: FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICS AND LATEST ADVANCES IN RELEVANT TECHNOLOGY 6. Electrochemical Energy Storage in 2D Nanomaterials: Present Status and Future Challenges 7. Two Dimensional (2D) Materials-Based Nanostructured Hybrid Composite: A Newer Paradigm for Energy Application 8. Bismuth Ferrite/Barium Titanate (BiFeO3/BaTiO3) Thick Films for High Energy Applications: A Review PART 3: CASE STUDIES IN THERMOPHYSICS AND APPLIED MECHANICS FOR ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY 9. Investigating the Adhesion Problem of a Double-Sided Tape and Car Bumper Packing Materials 10. Coherent Analysis of Fickian Diffusion in Mixtures of Cyclohexane, Toluene and Methanol
