About the Book

From the green hills of Kerry to Padre Pio's Shrine in Italy.... Born Catherine Brenda Mary Madigan O'Connor, she grew up on a small farm in Ballybunion, County Kerry. As a child she loved the natural world and was blessed with spiritual gifts, inherited from her ancestors. Too soon darkness entered her life, and, unable to share her pain, she became withdrawn and volatile. During these difficult times she found solace in nature and in the form of friendly elemental beings she encountered near her home. Later, she had to endure more challenges when she became a young woman and mother. These included nearly dying after being poisoned and unbearable anguish when she lost two babies. Mary's unexpected and amazing experiences at a Padre Pio Mass changed her sadness and grief to hope and proved to be the turning point towards a more positive future. Further life-changing events showed her that her destiny was to use the gifts she was born with to help people from all walks of life. Beneath the mountain is an epic journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening. It also holds a message for us all to never give up, no matter what, and to know that God and the angels are looking after us every moment of our lives.

About the Author :
Mary Madigan is a spiritual psychic reader, healer, and Reiki Master. After being called to service, Mary found a deep connection with Archangel Michael's well in Lixnaw, County Kerry. When Mary was a child, her amazing intuitive gift was well recognised by family. A traditional Irish family, with deep religious beliefs and convictions common with the culture of the time. A natural intuitive healer, Mary's gifts and understanding were strengthened by a personal healing journey. Divinely guided and challenged by life, Mary embarked on a voyage of self-discovery, a journey that will continue for the rest of her days. This journey has taught Mary just how controlled our lives can be by our past. Through an incredible connection with Our Lady and Padre Pio, there has been a newfound direction as a healer; psychic and spiritual gifts have expanded and developed. Over the past seven years, visiting both Padre Pio's resting place at San Giovanni Rotunda and Medjugorje, the area near Bosnia and Herzegovina known for apparitions of Our Lady since 1981, has enhanced the depth of her spiritual affiliation. Mary met the love of her life in January 1980, when Johnny Logan won the Eurovision Song Contest. They got married in August 1987, the Marian year in Ireland. Their firstbornwas Michael. He has angel wings. Second-born, James came along; he is now in his thirties. Their third child, Lizzy, joined Michael in heaven. Then, their dear daughter Nora came along. Recently, Mary has received more incredible joy with two stunning grandchildren. Mary lives in a small village in County Kerry, Ireland. She had worked in a local shop for a while, then a pharmacy, then had an amazing time with bar work, which she ran single-handedly; it was known as 'bikers bar'. Mary has been fortunate enough to have travelled to many places around the globe, including a stay in Boston, USA, visiting Ground Zero whilst in New York and also staying in Vermont, which she adores. Additionally, Germany and Poland for extensive visits, including emotionally charged concentration camps such as Warsaw, Neuengamme, Auschwitz, Dachau, Treblinka. Mary imagines people have always found her strange, but the sixth sense has been a major part of her for as long as she can remember. Sometimes, people say they have visions of Mary standing over them in bed whilst Mary is placing her hands on them. Others have reported seeing Mary in spirit at the foot of their stairs. Mary often feels things about people before they even come to her for a reading or consultation, allowing her to prepare through this ability. It is these extraordinary events, possibly strange, that certainly illustrate spirituality and, of course, something very different from others in this world.
