'Clever, cunning . . . a ferociously brilliant adventure from one of our best writers for young people' - Emma Carroll

'A spine-tingling adventure with tons of bite' - Abi Elphinstone

The legend of the werewolf reimagined in this thrilling, spine-tingling adventure by superstar author/illustrator Rob Biddulph. Perfect for children of 8-12, this hardback is packed with more than 100 spectacular black-and-white illustrations by the author.

Jax, Jovi, Esau and Fourth live for full-moon adventures – sneaking out after curfew, dodging the Nighthawks and roaming the empty streets of Moonhaven.

But when a rare werewolf attack rocks the town, the friends become prime suspects. With the Nighthawks closing in on anyone who was out after dark, they’re forced to run – setting off a chain of rumours, secrets and betrayals. As suspicion spreads, friendships are tested and the truth may be more dangerous than any of them imagined . . .

'Peanut Jones is AWESOME . . . the story is packed with twists and turns, and Rob's illustrations are full of wit and warmth' - Nadia Shireen, author of Grimwood

About the Author :

Rob Biddulph is a bestselling and multi-award-winning author/illustrator. He was also the official World Book Day Illustrator for 2019, 2020 and 2021. Peanut Jones and the Illustrated City was his fiction debut followed by Peanut Jones and the Twelve Portals and Peanut Jones and the End of the Rainbow.

He is the author of many highly acclaimed, award-winning picture books, including Blown Away, GRRRRR!, Odd Dog Out, Sunk, Kevin, Show and Tell, Dog Gone and the Dinosaur Juniors series.

In March 2020 he started #DrawWithRob, a series of twice-weekly draw-along videos designed to help parents whose children were forced to stay home from school due to the Covid-19 pandemic. #DrawWithRob became an internet sensation, garnering national and international media coverage, and has been used as a learning resource by thousands of families across the globe. In 2020 he broke the Guinness World Record for the largest ever online art class when 45,611 people tuned in to his live #DrawWithRob YouTube class.

Before he became a full-time author/illustrator Rob was the art director of the Observer Magazine, NME, Uncut, SKY and Just Seventeen. He lives in London with his wife and three daughters and hasn't given up hope that, maybe, one of them will go to an Arsenal match with him one day.

Review :
A thrilling mystery, stunning illustrations and relatable characters I’d face a werewolf for— readers are going to devour this exceptional new series and I can’t wait to howl about it from the rooftops. A howl of a good read! The Last Wolf strikes the perfect balance between spooky fun and heartfelt adventure. Young readers will be hooked from the first page. Clever, cunning . . . a ferociously brilliant adventure from one of our best writers for young people Cracks along at a furious pace. Gripping, exciting and truly a FEAST for the senses A spine-tingling adventure with tons of bite The Last Wolf is so brilliantly crafted. It is storytelling at its absolute best. And then as if the action and suspense weren’t enough, Rob Biddulph treats the reader to his gorgeously gothic illustrations throughout. I just couldn’t stop looking at them. Bravo! Cracking fun! . . . tremendously entertaining from the get-go. Gripping, hilarious and really moving at times too. A brilliantly gulpable adventure. A fast-moving, pacy plot? Tick. Spooky illustrations throughout? Tick. Short chapters and surprising plot twists? Tick and tick. The Last Wolf is a brilliant and exciting book. This is SO GOOD! My favourite read of the year. Faint coffee mug mark because it's been sitting on my desk for days after I finished because I like to pick it up at every opportunity and look at the EPIC artwork...
