About the Book

If you have wondered about mesmerizing patterns of flying birds and fish, and asked how they do it, then you have observed what biologists refer to as an intelligent swarm. It is as if the members of swarm are receiving commands on what to do. It is magic! In reality, it is an intriguing set of behaviors that many species including birds, fish, bats, wolves, honeybees, termites and many others have learnt during their millions of years of evolution, which has enabled them to succeed better and sustain their lives.

We have learned and applied our learning from nature, and have been inspired to invent many things we use from this fabulous source: Mother Nature! The question that led to long research and this book is set to answer, might be strange and unique: Can we use nature for managing people and teams in companies? After all, social beings in nature seem to be able function very well, and recent research has revealed great approaches they take to make decisions, and work together.

This book opens that exact interdisciplinary field, a bridge between managing teams and people in companies with how similar problems are solved in intelligent swarms. The research supporting this idea has led to a set of principles that will transform traditional teams into Intelligent Teams. These teams are capable of bringing performance, learning, and happiness of the team members to a new high level.

Review :

I enjoyed reading the book and it strongly resonated with my professional activities, both as an executive and as an educator.

It is an absolute must to read for aspiring and ascending leaders, but also will be very useful for seasoned leaders who are ready to either look at the other's approach, or are ready to review their own leadership approach.

Focus on self managed teams, team dynamics and hidden drivers is supported by easy to use guidance.

Dr Vladas Leonas

Adjunct Professor at the Australian Graduate School of Leadership

In Team Intelligence, Dr. Mohammad Nozari delivers a powerful and fresh perspective on team collaboration, drawing wisdom from an unlikely but profoundly insightful source: nature. With eloquence and rigor, Nozari takes the reader on a journey from observing birds in flight and bees choosing a new nest, to developing the principles that underpin self-managed, high-performing teams in human organizations. The parallels he draws between swarm behavior and organizational effectiveness are not only fascinating but highly relevant in today’s increasingly complex and interdependent workplaces.

This book is particularly valuable for leaders aiming to shift from command-and-control models toward empowered, adaptive team cultures. What’s most impressive is how Nozari translates research and interdisciplinary theory into practical guidance—his intelligent team toolkit in Part 4 is a highlight. Whether you are a C-suite executive, project manager, HR strategist, or educator, this book offers transformative insights. It champions a more natural, human-centered way of working that aligns with both modern demands and timeless principles. A must-read for anyone serious about building resilient, forward-thinking teams.
