About the Book

Tic Tac and the Raven begins with a young mouse going out to gather grain by himself for the first time. He encounters a big black bird, the raven, Quince. Frightened, he hides and runs home to share the incident with his family. The next time he goes out, he has a totally different adventure. He realizes the raven is not scary and needs help. Tic Tac helps Quince and they become friends, proving that overcoming fear can open doors to friendships..

About the Author :
Luthie M West currently lives in Oregon, U.S.A. with her husband and grandson. As a jack of all trades, she has been a teacher in primary and secondary public and private schools, and taught American Sign Language, English, Writing and Art to students of all ages. However, her first love is performing as an actor, a singer and a storyteller. Luthie has told countless stories, many created on the spur of the moment, at parties and events for children and adults. Now she has written them down in order to share them with children and their families everywhere. "There are three ways to get into the part of a character; act in some performance of a story/play someone wrote, read a story that someone wrote, and write the stories for someone else to act or read. I have loved doing all three for the sheer joy of creation. More importantly, I love it when it brings happy moments to others." More information about can be found at her website www.LittleCabbageheadBooks.com.

Review :
Absolutely charming writing and imagery. Children (and adults) will love this book and doubtless it will become the favorite bedtime story for the lucky owners - and their friends! Keep your eye on Luthie for a host of fine children's books. -- Grady Harp, Hall of Fame Top 500 Reviewer This is a delightful children's book! As an adult reader I enjoyed the artwork. For my five-year-old grandson he was riveted by the story. ...The story is a good story for children, helping them learn that not everything is as it seems. Once we get to know something that we may have been afraid of it can totally turn out different! I liked the raven's story and found the connection with TicTac to be very inspiring. I hope the story inspires other children to face their fears and find hope in things that are different. -- Kathy Lord Tic Tac and The Raven is a great, inspiring story. It's a tale about a very brave mouse and how he used his wits to save a big black bird named, Quince. Boys and girls will love every minute of this wonderful adventure that tells how friendship developed between two unlikely characters. I highly recommend this book to young readers. --Emma Price, ELP Books
