About the Author :
Skipper Young's great Uncle Johnny Gruelle created Raggedy Ann & Andy and his Step-Grandmother was Queen of the Flying Trapeze in the Greatest Show on Earth(R). During his childhood in Miami, almost every weekend Skipper was sailing and sun burning on Biscayne Bay. In 1949, his mom and dad built the family a cypress home in South Miami where his brother still resides. The Coconut Grove Sailing Club was his second home. His parents raced star boats. When he turned 14 his life changed. The Young family moved to a small, rural, farmhouse south of Macon, Georgia, where Skipper became an Eagle Scout with a Wall Street Journal subscription. His love of investing began in Macon. Between then and turning 69 more than once, Skipper earned graduate degrees in Economics and taught Econ. in Boston area colleges. He then moved to New York City where he co-managed celebrity equity retirement investments for many years using a proprietary equity screening model. Skipper next moved to Washington, D.C., where he was a direct response creative executive for a division of W.P.P. - the world's largest advertising company. NASDAQ was one of his accounts. Then 200 years after the signing of the Buttonwood agreement and 500 years after Columbus discovered America, Skipper became a 49er. Five years later, he co-founded the cabaret restaurant - AsiaSF. The WISDOM of 76 is Skipper Young's first book.
