About the Book

Onion Weed, Tennessee, population 839--or more if you count the bigfoots living in the woods, and all of the bigfoot hunters that have invaded the town searching for the creatures. J.T. Meeks is a shy 12-year-old kid who has always been interested in finding a bigfoot. When he gets mixed up with Billy Matrix, the self-proclaimed authority on the "North American Bipedal Great Ape", things get interesting--and dangerous. How will J.T. find his place in this world of bigfoot hunting--a world filled with telepathic psychics, vicious hunters, know-it-all anthropologists, spiritual hippie surfers, and self-promoting media personalities. J.T. soon discovers that there is more to the bigfoot legend than meets the eye, as he uncovers his true destiny and learns much about himself in the process.

About the Author :
Rebecca Coyte has been interested in Bigfoot legends since she was young. She hasn't found one, yet, but keeps looking every time she goes to the forest. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, two kids, and two cats.

Review :
"Impressively well written and thoroughly entertaining for young readers from beginning to end, 'The Bigfoot Paradox' is very highly recommended for both school and community library collections."--Midwest Book Review "I found this story to be not only a great preteen adventure but a moral lesson as well as J.T. starts his journey as a kid with something to prove but he matures as he learns that it is more important to give of yourself than to search for fame. Author Rebecca Coyte answers all questions brilliantly as she takes you on two journeys: one to find Bigfoot and another for J.T. to find his true self."-- Story Monster Ink "The author did a wonderful job of developing his characters and providing backstories when applicable. The colorful assortment of supporting characters kept the book fun and engaging. All in all an imaginative and entertaining read, so I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. It is suited for middle grade readers and up, and adults with a young heart would also enjoy this book. I would recommend this book to any Sasquatch lover looking for a refreshing story."--onlinebookclub.org "I loved the story and, overall, The Bigfoot Paradox is a fun, imaginative read that looks into the heart of Bigfoot myths and legends. Author Rebecca Coyte doesn't just give us a typical Bigfoot story; she includes the current reality TV hype and the ridiculous personalities of people who publicly hunt for legendary creatures. Then she adds a bit of a twist that might explain what is really going on, and reveals that through J.T. as he travels with Billy Matrix and crew."--Carla Trueheart for Readers' Favorite
