About the Book

The novel is a funny, down to earth take on the life of a business women / Mother striving to better herself whilst running her own company and struggling to keep her slightly dysfunctional family on the straight and narrow, without going completely mad! Eva is a good wife and mother to her three children but her life is one big rush, and often she finds herself in situations that just don't happen to 'normal' people. She is realistic about her family's good, bad and in the case of her eldest son frankly weird traits, whilst realising that she too has much room for improvement and so she continually makes 'mental notes' to herself, which are rarely adhered to. One morning as she enjoys a rare quiet moment to herself, Eva, who ordinarily dreams of seeking her fortune by sheer luck, makes a life changing decision to begin a new 'life adventure'. Initially she keeps the 'research' for this a secret from her husband, as she suspects that he will mock her but the effort required to conceal all of her daily drama's proves too much and so lets him in on the secret. Initially he doubts the validity of her story but the more he hears, the more involved he wants to become, something that isn't always welcomed by Eva, as he seems to enjoy himself far too much and sometimes humiliates her in the process! Eventually all of Eva's hard work pays off and she is rewarded... but not in the way that she had expected.

About the Author :
Mrs P started writing at the end of 2015, after helping her Mother-in-law publish a short book that she had written in memory of her best friend. As a starting point, she entered a challenge of writing 10,000 words in one month. This motivated her greatly and not only did she succeed in the task, she thoroughly enjoyed every moment that she wrote, totally losing herself in the story-lines on a daily basis, feeling alive with creativity! She chose to write this book using a pseudonym, as the characters within the story are (very) loosely based on her own family members / events.
