Through posing and attempting to answer a set of fundamental questions, this book seeks to open up a serious debate on the underlying issues of faith and religious practices arising from religious institutions. And this must be carried out within the latest findings in physical and biological sciences. The determination of the human genome may be mind-blowing, but even smaller, the detection of infinitely miniscule sub-nuclear particles such Higg's Boson raise earth-shattering challenges to understanding the very basics of existence. How can science and religion complement each other in the advancement of human philosophy? This book decouples the two aspects of religion into faith and religious practices which have evolved from institutions over millennia. Faith is refined to an acceptance of a god or gods with the belief in an afterlife along with the concept of a soul or spirit. Practices are many and varied and have been concocted and used to manage and maintain the beliefs and strategies of institutions or churches and their followers or believers. The use of many of these practices can be considered as over-controlling in the 21st Century in this Third Millennium. We should be free to exercise our beliefs in whichever way we are comfortable - but always to acknowledge the human rights of our fellow beings and recognise the global society in which we exist with all its rights and responsibilities. The book exhorts all people, especially believers in God or gods to meet and seek out common ground to co-exist in mutual understanding and within a new world of amazing scientific discoveries. From all the latest research findings in the physical and biological sciences, the author considers that all life exists in an infinite four dimensional continuum of an electromagnetic flux of energy. String theory and super-symmetry are stages of discovery enabling us to understand the big bang or bangs which perpetuate the very infinite cosmos in which we exist. This humbling view is the challenge of all who profess to know the absolute truth and claim to have a direct contact to their almighty god or creator. and
