About the Book

Who do you think you are? Who do people say you are? This book takes the reader through chapters which is referred to as dials as it encourages the reader to answer these questions for themselves precisely and accurately. It projects life as though it is holding a triangle of stories and invites the reader to enter the different rooms of the book with their own workbooks, as they grabble to re-identify who they are. Using the 24-hours of the clock to represent the journeys we all make through life; the book emphasises that, whether we a Christians or non-Christians, male or female, educated or uneducated, we all journey though this planet earth; and serve a purpose, to live and to die. Time also invites you to read it with an open mind, in order to relax, enjoy, deliberate and take part in the exercises and respond in a manner that would be appropriate in bringing about the change as you re-identify who you are. One of the tools the book has used in accomplishing its goal, is the act of encouragement as it frequently reminds the reader that it is important to make out time each day to stop and reflect; the need to step out of our comfort zones and perhaps begin to look at life from a different perspective, which we may have ignored or which we were not aware of; the need to try on different pairs of lenses which would enable us to become aware of other options that might be open to us, from which the author has benefited from. The author expresses her sincere wish in the introduction of the book that the book would not be taken as a book for debates. Or that which would trigger off some anger in persons because they do not agree with some of the issues discussed. As all the book is trying to do is to draw the reader's attention to perhaps look at things differently as: "Sometimes we believe we are doing the right things until someone draws our attention to look at things differently before we become aware of what our wrongs have been." This back cover phrase is repeated throughout the dials of the book, which more or less acts as a cue for action. The chapters in the book are referred to as dials, as they are in the face of a clock. Each chapter is represented by a clock face. Some of the rooms to be entered with your own wordbook include, life time and death time, food and health time, money, religion and wait time; anger, forgiveness and reconcilliation time, sex and relationship time (we don't marry because we have fallen in love, we marry the person we like and respect, as love grows with time), timelessness in doing work and in idleness, time to hate and time to love; and others. All inevitable aspects of life we encounter in our journeys through live to death. It finished with some concluding thoughts that leave the reader with 'wow' to end.

About the Author :
Sylvia Dapper is a pioneer minister and was trained in theology and ministry at Cranmer Hall, St John's College, Durham where she majored in pioneer ministry. She believes that pioneer ministers are entrepreneurs. And entrepreneurs are creative people and so she collated her creative skills obtained from film and TV production, with that obtained from her creative jewellery business and has written her first book TIME, the volume two of this will follow shortly. Sylvia Dapper decided to change her career from being an entrepreneurial business woman (which earned her the title of the best female entrepreneur in South East London, in 2006, the award given for her unique handmade jewellery designs in her own jewellery manufacturing workshop, bringing the West End of London glamour unto the local arena); to that of a pioneer minister, in answer to God's call, a role which is also of an entrepreneurial nature. The same unique entrepreneurial spirit has driven Sylvia to carefully collate the twenty-four hours of the day to twenty-four aspects of life. She has also pushed herself further to use her position as a pioneer minister to set up a retreat centre that will be based on the book TIME. This book in fact is helping one to answer the questions, "Who do people say you are?" and "Who do you think you are?" The retreat centre will have twenty-four rooms which will represent the twenty-four hours of the day and the twenty-four aspects which people will read from the book. Some have said "wow" to this unique entrepreneur inspiration..

Review :
What people say about the book TIME is a thought provoking book, covering a great range of topics and appealing to a wider readership. In some cases it encourages the reader to make meaningful and positive changes to their lives. My marriage was in the brink of breaking when I met you by accident and you introduced me to the book. I read the section on love and relationship and now i know where I have gone wrong and I'm determined to work hard to save it. Thank you for asking me to contact you for further advice. You are so real, and what you write about is so real. Thanks! Sylvia A combination of sylvia's viewpoint mixed with her own experiences makes for a most interesting read, and one that would hold the attention of the avid reader. The litmus test of whether a book is interesting or not is whether it leaves an impression on the reader once the book has been finished and this book certainly does. I would recommend this book to anyone and look forward to the book 2 of TIME. The chapter on forgiveness is very attractively out together and will inspire many to reflections, hence highly recommended to be a must read by people of all ages, gender, religion and non believers. I am not a church goer and do not have dip knowledge of the bible but some of the chapters that i read did have some relevance to things that had happened in my life. The author has put forward opinions that are shared by many I have never thought of spending time with anger but the book provoked my thoughts in that. I cried and cried when I read your chapter on death and all that you narrated in the section. 'How i felt the pain of death. As a friend, I remembered some of those instances and I am so intrigued how you were able to sum up the courage to write about those painful experiences. I have sent you GBP 100, please send me 10 copies of the book to send to some of my friend. This is a must read book. It has encouraged me a lot. This book is written in a positive, no non-sense, and upbeat manner. It acknowledges that things do go wrong in people's lives, it therefore gives lots of positive ideas and suggestions as how the individual can go about improving their own circumstances, learning from other people's mistakes. The book is also suggesting that the individual concerned should take the initiative in putting things right -something that a lot of people do not do. I have never thought about spending time with 'Self'; i have been ignoring myself all this while, so i said to myself when I read about 'time for me'; i must take off for me and did that immediately and promise myself to spend time with 'me' from now on.

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
