About the Book

The Question is a magical fable about a seer, a seeker, and a scribe. It is about being lost and finding the way, of learning to ask the most important questions and discovering the deepest answers. It is a journey that reaches beyond Death, a spiralling exploration of the nature of reality and the meaning of life. It is a story that is as long as it needs to be--and no longer.

About the Author :
Elyn Aviva is a transformational traveler, writer, and fiber artist. Currently living in Oviedo (Asturias), Spain, she has a life-long interest in pilgrimage, earth mysteries, the Western Esoteric Tradition, and Kabbalah. Her Ph.D. in anthropology was on walking the modern Camino de Santiago across Spain. She also has an M.Div. degree (Iliff School of Theology). Aviva is author of a number of articles, travel narratives, and novels, including Following the Milky Way and The Journey - A Novel of Spiritual Quest. She is also co-author with her husband, Gary White, of the "Powerful Places Guidebooks" series.

Review :
"Elyn Aviva's own courageous and experiential explorations of the nature of reality and its foundational imaginal realms are brought to vivid life and with wisdom and lyric beauty in this wonder-full allegory. --Dr Jude Currivan, cosmologist and author of The Cosmic Hologram: In-formation at the Center of Creation. "I am not a reader of fantasy, but Elyn Aviva's narrative is so compelling and mystically appealing that it pulled me in. She has such a magical way of weaving character and plot, incident and esoteric information that it's like entering virtual reality. Start the first page and you won't take off the viewing goggles till the last sentence." --Judith Fein, author of Life Is a Trip: The Transformative Magic of Traveland The Spoon from Minkowitz. "The Question is deep, magical, and multifaceted like a diamond. Here is an esoteric fable, full of living insights, to enchant you into wisdom." --Tim Freke, author of Soul Storyamong many other books. "In Elyn Aviva's 'maybe fiction'The Questionwe start our journey on the Main Street of real dreamers, the path of moonlight on water. We have so many stories to hear. Some of them come with names from old mythologies, like Gwydion and Cerberus and Isis, but they shapeshift and shake out their feathers, reminding us that a myth to live by must be dyed with our own passion and imagination and cut to our lifestyle. Sometimes it feels like we have wandered into a tarot novella like Italo Calvino's The Castle of Crossed Destinies. Then we realize that the cards in play don't come from any familiar deck but are swooping down from the imaginal realm to carry us into adventures there. We learn that the most important questions can't merely be answered; they must be lived. The Questionanimates one of my favorite themes: that we live by stories and must seek to find and live our bigger and braver stories and tell them so well that we entertain Death and earn the right kind of time in this world. --Robert Moss, creator of Active Dreaming, bestselling author of Conscious Dreaming, The Secret History of Dreamingand The Boy Who Died and Came Back. "I love the wisdom and depth in this new book! This will be a valuable tool for many. Multi-layered dimensions of reality, cleverly pieced together, and definitely for the intelligent reader." --Ani Williams, musician and author. "Elyn Aviva has spent many years studying esoteric and magical subjects. She brings this knowledge forward to inform and underpin her fiction writing. This novel abounds with mysterious characters and transformative magical forces, in a flurry of encounters and challenging interactions." --RJ Stewart, composer, author, and teacher.
