About the Book

A sailing adventure! Capt. Boyd Chailland goes undercover to sail, fly, fight and solve a mystery that mixes jihad, the diamond business, crooked bankers and new discoveries in vaccine technology. Someone has spent millions to make a vaccine for Ebola, the world's deadliest virus; and has kept it a secret. Why? Strategic Command's Counter Proliferations Task Force assumes the worst and re-calls Chailland, their "go to" guy for "black ops off the books" to find out. Leading a team of quirky misfits, Boyd struggles to get ahead of the trail of deceit and death that leads to Chardonnay, a century old sailing yacht owned by notorious European merchant banker Michelle Meilland, and a trans-Atlantic crossing in hurricane season. The kick-ass climax in the Azores will leave the reader breathless, but it's not over. Villains and heroes abound in this story; all are well intentioned, all are flawed. But there is only one Devil on Chardonnay.

About the Author :
Ed Baldwin is a best selling author writing adventure stories about malfeasance and thievery, international political crises, intrigue and espionage, and unconventional covert operations. Aviation is a part of each adventure. Captain Boyd Chailland is the protagonist who must fly and fight in exotic places around the world matching strength and guile with the forces of darkness; yet he's just a man, with his own weaknesses and demons. Drawn from well researched political realities of today, these stories amuse with odd characters and leave the reader wondering; could it happen? A 38 year military career and a lifetime fascination with banking and fraud have prepared Baldwin with plenty of tall tales. He also writes Southern Fiction. Bookman is about a door to door salesman learning the realities of business in the 1960′s Mid-South. Sliding Delta is about a quest to find legendary musician "Mississippi" John Hurt and learn to pick the delta blues that takes a Chicago college boy south of Memphis in 1965.

Review :
Obvious in both of his adventure stories is a knowledge and love of airplanes, not only the lore but an understanding of the mechanics and aerodynamics. Much of the action takes place on Chardonnay, a vintage yacht with a colorful and sometimes criminal history. - The Daily Dunklin Democrat Villains and heroes populate a winding trail of suspense that begins in the Indian Ocean and ends in the Azores.
