About the Author: Douglas (Doug) Owen is the youngest of three children born to Joan and Art Owen. His oldest brother passed away from cancer before Doug was born. Doug's parents supplied a warm and loving home for him to grow up in. For this he has been very thankful. His parents are now retired and living in a small town in Ontario Canada. Doug and his wife Sheila live in the town of Stouffville Ontario. They have two cats, Mia and Murray, commonly referred to as Grumpy Kitty and Bastard Cat. Sheila in her own right is a talented and in demand therapist. Her practice has spanned over fifteen years. Doug has always had a desire to tell stories, and after a number of years he finally decided to put those stories to paper.
