About the Book

Story based on the life of two girls who were raised by their grandmother due to their mother's drug addiction. Without a job and any income the mother's drug addiction caused her to do the unthinkable Finding a way out and looking to God when it appeared to be no humanily way out was not an option for the girls. They lost many battles relying on human wisdom. The girls suffered abuse from their mother and father and the abuse continued throughout their adulthood. The obstacles the girls had to go through led them down different paths, one sister let the past define who she was and the other sister later found out if she continued to do so, she would not make it through life. The story will make you laugh, cry, and realize that ?going through? means just that, and the key word is ?THROUGH.?

About the Author :
Lakeisha was born in Rome, Ga on November 1, 1978. She is the youngest of her mother two daughters and the fourth out of her father nine kids. She resides in Marietta, Ga 10 miles North of Atlanta, Ga. She moved to Marietta in January 2002 when she was pregnant with her third child, in hopes of making a difference in her life as well as her three kids. Brian Hamilton 20 years old, Destiny Watkins 14 years old, and Trizae Barton 10 years old. She is married to Trice "Big AL" Barton. While comtemplating suicide in 2008, Lakeisha picked up a pen and paper to write a suicide note but instead without knowing, started writing about what happened to her as a child. Which later turned into a book with many titles. She finally finished the book almost four years later. Lakeisha dream is to own multiple apartment buildings throughout the U.S., to start a Youth Organization which she has done, to create multiple jobs for the unemployed, and to help out her community by offering assistant to pay bills, clothe and feed the less fortunate. Her belief in God's Promises and her passion to make her dream a reality, she has no doubt that her dream will come true. Keisha's H.O.P.E is a nonprofit agency providing mentoring programs for elementary, middle and high school youth in the Cobb County, and Metro Atlanta area. The program forms partnership with local school districts and juvenile court system. Lakeisha believes that with prayer and through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished. That will give the youth the commitment to follow through on a path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishments. Keisha's H.O.P.E believes through repeated failures in the classroom and the development of destructive habits, at-risk young people have lost faith in the possiblities that await them, if they are successful in putting their lives together we need to accomplish this goal. It takes a village!!
