About the Book

Just when you thought there was nothing left to write about ...

A new voice gives us a new way to hear the songs and know the characters - Rocky's doctor ... a dancing horse ... a barber -optimistic that the longhaired look is just a fad ... a besotted fan of The Queen ... and for the first time - just exactly what three grandchildren think of each other and their grandad.

"I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how creative and interesting these poems are! I think Beatle fans will enjoy the poems and find they enrich their experience with Beatle songs they have known and loved for years."

- Kenneth Womack, World-renowned Beatle author

About the Author :

In addition to working in the IT Department at the University of Kentucky, Marcus also makes use of the right side of his brain writing poetry. After "Take Your Daughter to Work Day," Marcus's job was described as "Daddy talks to people and draws," which generally describes it quite well.

Marcus grew up in the small town of Perryville and now lives in Versailles, Kentucky with his wife, daughters, and two dogs Eleanor and George (Rigby and Harrison, of course). Although his poetry has been widely published, this is his first book of poetry - and his first collection of poems about The Beatles.

Review :
"I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how creative and interesting these poems are! There is some great wordplay on those based on the not-so-serious songs and an equally skillful use of words and images in response to a serious song like 'Eleanor Rigby, ' which was one of my favorites, along with the poems based on 'Paperback Writer' and 'Lovely Rita.'

"I think Beatle fans will enjoy the poems and find they enrich their experience with Beatle songs they have known and loved for years."

-- Kenneth Womack, World renowned Beatles scholar, speaker, and writer
