About the Book

A man is stranded on an island, has little time to live, and decides to write his masterpiece novel, which is split into ten sections. In this first volume, the process goes awry, and the main character takes on a life of his own, charging his creator with literary treason.

About the Author :
Somewhere on an island a man, after learning he has not got long to live, decides to write a novel he believes will be a masterpiece and serves as his contribution to literature and society. But something goes wrong. The ambitious project our protagonist embarks upon is divided into ten books. In Book I, the narrator takes the reader on a journey through his creation. The creator confines himself to a room and construct his work between sleep and wake. Willem, the main character, falls into mischievous behavior and disrupts proceedings. He initiates a coup d'etat, establishes a tribunal and charges his creator with literary treason.

Review :
Book II of The Mole explores the fragmented lives of the players. In Book III, Willem reappears as a mole planted by a secret agency to cause political, economic, and social chaos, through acts of terrorism, across the landscape. He starts a nuclear war. The world falls into a holocaust of terror. Then replenishes itself after five decades. Man is left once again in search of a meaning for his survival. He continues his quest for a Supreme Being he is yet to find. In the following seven Books, Willem though unstable in his outlook, learns that if one allows oneself to become obsessed with an idea, object or thing, the obsession becomes a plague of horror in the mind and creates animosity toward others. He learns that a man should be circumspect about what he creates and that it is often a reflection of his own demons.
