About the Book

This is about the relevant background to grasp the messages of Bible prophecy, and investigates how it actually works. It also shows the limitations of many current systems of prophetic interpretation. Not a speculative approach, but an analytical approach, dealing with how the symbolism works, and how time and continuity works within prophecy, and why we sometimes miss its main points. It is a study of a prophetic syntax that follows its own rules and principles. It indeed gives us the world view of the prophets. This is not a book of canned answers, but of principles! There is a need to to see that prophecy is thoroughly grounded in reality. Nor is it apart from the very commands of God. It is very much a part of the whole counsel of God. "Prophecy Principles" demonstrates that a reasonable understanding of prophecy is part of a balanced Christian life, that its neglect has been hurtful to us, and that it is pertinent to the ENTIRE Christian age. The Second Edition is a translation independent and condensed printing of "Prophecy Principles". It emphasizes the readings of the King James Version, and the New King James Version, but it gives preference to those translations which appear to be closest to the Hebrew and Greek originals. You will always look at the Bible as a living book after you finish reading "Prophecy Principles." 330 pages, 17 charts, and 55 illustrations, indexed.

Review :
Neal Fain has penned a treasure trove of information concerning Bible prophecy and what prophecy means for today's Christian. Brother Fain's pa- tient and diligent research has resulted in some amazing insights into how Bible prophecy works. It has been my privilege to personally know Brother Fain for several years and I count him, not only as a friend, but also as a seri- ous student and Bible scholar. This book promises to add valuable perspective and research material for Bible teachers, church leaders and anyone else who is seeking to know God more fully. The solid Biblical principles taught in this manuscript will serve as an anchor for anyone seeking to have a more clear un- derstanding and appreciation of Bible prophecy. I give Prophecy Principles my highest recommendation. Dennis Jones, President HERITAGE CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY In this age of almost fanatical fascination with end times prophecies-the interpretations of which seem to constantly shift like windblown sand dunes depending on this week's current world events-Neal Fain's Prophecy Principles offers a welcome corrective. Relying on sound principles of interpretation rather than fanciful geo-political speculations, Fain presents an approach to biblical prophecy that takes in all of biblical history, not just the immediate fu- ture. While he does move us ultimately toward the return of Christ--and em- phasizes how important it is to be prepared--he is more concerned with demonstrating how prophecy strengthens our faith even now as we engage in battle with the forces of evil and unbelief. Unlike today's "experts on end time prophecies," Fain's work encourages faithful trust, not fear. Dennis Connor Raleigh, North Carolina "Brother Fain a good writer, with the ability to convey his observations in a somewhat informal, yet effective way. He calls attention to many texts which I had read, but not considered in the light of his explanations. It is a book that calls for much reexamination." David Pharr, Rock Hill, SC
