This pack of 64 double-sided flashcards includes a wide variety of food and drink vocabulary ranging from meat, dairy, soft drinks, spices and nuts to general store cupboard items. Each word is given in its Arabic singular form on one side of the card, together with the English meaning and a guide to the correct pronunciation. Each item of vocabulary is illustrated with a high-quality colour photograph on the reverse. A leaflet is also enclosed containing suggestions for games and learning activities. About the Author :
Dr. Imran Hamza Alawiye is the author of numerous books specializing in teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers, including the highly popular 'Gateway to Arabic' series. He graduated in Arabic from the University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia and went on to obtain his PhD in Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) within the University of London. He has a wealth of experience in teaching Arabic at various levels to many different age groups.
