About the Book

Lancashire County Cricket Club has a rich and varied history and now, in the year of its anniversary the club, in association with Max Books, has produced its official history. 150 Years of Lancashire Cricket is a lavishly illustrated year-by-year account of the history of one of the leading clubs in world cricket. From the great rivalries of the early years of the County Championship, through the grandeur of the Golden Age of Cricket and the championship triumphs of the inter-war years, and on to the magnificent one-day teams of the 1970s and 1990s, this book will be a must-have for all fans of Lancashire cricket.

Graham Hardcastle: Graham co-wrote Champions...about bloomin' time! - the story of the club's historic County Championship title success in 2011 - with Chris ostick. Having come straight out of Edge Hill University with a degree in journalism, he has covered Lancashire's fortunes since 2005, working for regional and national newspapers such as the Manchester Evening News, the Bolton News and the Daily and Sunday Telegraph. He is also a regular contributor to the club's website. Graham has also dipped into cricket over the other side of the Pennines, covering Yorkshire's fortunes since 2008 for the Bradford Telegraph and Argus, York Press and Northern Echo. A playing career has been limited to second-team league appearances for Bradshaw in the Bolton League and first team appearances for Brinscall in the Ribblesdale League. In october 2011, Graham was named the inaugural winner of the prestigious ECB Young Cricket Writer of the Year award. Rev. Malcolm G Lorimer: A Methodist Minister who was born in Haworth, West Yorkshire but believes in conversion, Malcolm has followed and supported Lancashire for over 30 years. Having served in Moss Side, Heald Green, Sale and now Nantwich, he is Chaplain to Lancashire CCC and part of the heritage team.
