About the Book

The earth shifts, the seas recoil, the lava rises up, the winds roar. All the elements combine to send a Wallwave upon the earth, so giving birth to the Tsunami, an oriental warrior from the rising sun. His true godfather is Truthteller the Immortal but Tsunami also has an earthly father and mother whose lives are destroyed with a treachery that demands a response. Events develop into a war between the land and chariot-based Hillwolves and the sea and boat-based Seagull Wavewarriors. The hillwolf king Warchariot and his wicked queen Snakeknife set up traps for the seagull king Tsunami and his queen, Whitehair. Deadly assassins are sent out to destroy the Tsunami - killers such as the Deathhead Dwarfs and the Killer Disguisers who change like chameleons when they attack. The turmoils of the Tsunami, and the wars with his enemies, include ambushes, hand-to-hand combats and beheadings as well as more subtle conflict against magic. There are plots and traps from witches whose deadly spells cause illusions, mindmanipulation and image theft. Fortunately there are also warriorwomen on the side of Tsunami who have the wisdom and skills to deal with the witches. Above all is the overhanging weapon of the Wallwave from the east, controlled only by Tsunami. This epic of many adventures, the Saga of Tsunami the Rising Son, is told in the simple style of the heroic tales of old.

About the Author :
Background Drew Carson was born and grew up in Belfast, on the Murder Mile. He was educated there and in the USA. He has traveled widely in Europe, around the Atlantic and in North America. After working as a seaman he has told his stories, composed and sung his songs to all who would listen. Carson has sailed far into the seas of old Celtic music and legend, living and working in the Irish and Western Isles Gaeltachts; honeymooning in Belfast after getting married in Welsh-speaking Carmarthen; fish-gutting in Vestmannaeyjar off the coast of Iceland; then seeking storylines in Bristol and the English Westcountry. Travels Carson has also lived and written in Nashville, Tennessee, in the wooded hills of Mid-America and from the Appalachians to the Ozarks. This was the culture that gave rise to the now worldwide Scotch-Irish country music. In the USA, he has also worked beside the bayous of the French Cajuns in the South; and among the Western Spanish-speaking Navajos, Apaches and Pueblos of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico. Tales, Plays and Songs Over the years, many of Carson's other self-publications have been private, in-house editions. e.g. O.K. Make a Song and Dance About It. Here are five full-length musical comedies. Make a New Start. Here are seven new year, serious stories and playscripts. Many a True Word is Spoken in Jest. Here are eight funny stories and playscripts. All these books of scripts contain lyrics, with music in tonic solfa, stories, playscripts for amateur productions of movies, DVDs, CDs or tapes, in hall, homes, schools or colleges. European Lyrics and Songs (editor and translator). Classic French, Spanish and Gaelic lyrics with some music, also in tonic solfa. Carson's Saga of Tsunami - the Rising Son also Waterbear and the Boy Tsunami are both epics of many adventures and fantasies. Business Lifestyle Animals All satirizes business life. Set out as a spoof fantasy with funny verses, this tale relates the adventures of a compulsive liar, wandering among stray animals. Get Your Big Break from Small Biz is a collection of basic ideas about entrepreneurship. The book sets out views of innovative small business, looking at many of the day to day problems in running a goods or services firm. The book inverses the usual model of the modern economy from Updown to Lowhigh, recommending Co-op as an alternative to big private or state capitalism. The Felix O'Neill Mysteries These are cases solved by detective Felix O'Neill, an accountant and inventor. Some stories are whodunits, some involve time travel and sci-fi, some are historical. In The Secret of Missing Travelers O'Neill asks, Is there a pattern in many missing persons reports? Gone suddenly? Strangely? Without reason? The Werewolf Shapeshifter - Who or What? Here is both the novel and its playscript where O'Neill identifies the killer behind a series of werewolf murders. Three Sci-Fi Novelets with O'Neill. I. White Zombies, II. New World Order, III. Nostradamus. Two Novelets - Two Ladies of Mystery. O'Neill solves the strange cases of: I. The Oriental Governess, II. The Girl with the Renoir Eyes. Summary After many years of travel in search of inspiration for story and music, the author has written song and verse, fantasies, sci-fi, satire, playscripts, mysteries - using traditional themes as a basis for the creation of new ideas, personas, events and plots. Carson is still traveling and writing.
