Review :
'A wonderful, infuriating, stimulating and provocative book that is a joy to read. It provides a perfect counterpoint to all the pretentious rubbish about Freemasonry that we have suffered so long. I only wish that I had written it!' - Robert A. Gilbert, PM Quatuor Coronati Lodge, Past Editor 'Ars Quatuor Coronatorum'. 'A fascinating story that deserves to be read.' - John M. Hamill, PM Quatuor Coronati Lodge. 'Erudite, eccentric and entertaining.' - Stephen O'Shea, writer and broadcaster, author of "The Perfect Heresy: the life and death of the Cathars". 'An astoundingly good piece of work. Brilliantly researched. An absolute tour de force.' - Professor Robin Stuart-Kotze. 'Masons and non-masons will enjoy David West's lucid and readable discussion of larger-than-life masonic characters, history and ideas. You may find yourself reading it more than once!' - Alasdair Macleod, Secretary of the Southchurch Masonic Study Circle. 'Is there magic in Freemasonry? There is in West's deep portrayal and surfacing of its historical roots and present day values.' - Dr Rick Roskin, lately Dean of the School of Business, Royal Roads University. 'A fascinating and challenging view of the Biblical texts in Masonic ritual. Certainly a daily advancement in Masonic knowledge. - Mike Neville, Author of "Sacred Secrets".' 'If you would know the many faces of the devil, delve, with iron fingers and a long spoon, into Dr West's detailed taxonomy of the Lord of the Flies whose images being graven herein, we may the better keep our foot upon his neck. - Peter Hamilton Currie, PM Quatuor Coronati Lodge, Past Editor 'Ars Quatuor Coronatorum'.
