About the Book

When two unlikely members of the movement are sent on a mission to take out the breakaway commander of the Fifth Brigade in London, they find themselves inside a web of mayhem which their target has spun around himself. Their mission involves collaboration with the British authorities from the local police station to Downing Street, but the outcome is more than the protagonists had ever intended. As people of all nationalities go about their workaday business along the streets of London they are unaware of the jungle game of hunter and hunted that is being enacted around them. One man is being stalked by six different pursuers, each with a different reason for wanting to 'put a stop to him'. Tony Dwyer has been addicted to terror all his life. His mad-dog deeds have impinged on the lives of politicians, parents, partners and business people with horrific effects. It is when he feeds his lust for destruction, torture, bloodshed and slaughter in the name of a nationalist movement that he must be 'eliminated'. The exercise is fraught with mistakes, misunderstandings, misgivings and mistrust, each of which demands its own punishment. The story of all the events that took place within a period of forty eight hours at one weekend spans the full spectrum of all the human emotions. It is told in an easy style that brings the characters to life so realistically that the reader soon has a feeling of being a participant rather than an onlooker.

About the Author :
James McCauley, the son of Irish parents, was born in London in 1970 and now lives with his wife and two children in Brighton. He has a deep understanding of the historical and current relationship between Ireland and England and he reveals a clear insight into the psyche of both peoples. He has shown a keen interest in writing since his early schooldays and the style and structure of this, his first novel, shows a maturity beyond his years.
