About the Author :
Tom Washington is a career counselor who daily prepares clients for interviews. He has published three books on job hunting—Interview Power: Selling Yourself Face To Face; Resume Power: Selling Yourself On Paper; and The Hunt: Complete Guide To Effective Job Finding. His article in the National Business Employment Weekly entitled "Are You Prepared for Interviewers’ New Techniques" won a Ten Best award from the NBEW. He is the former president (1987 and 2010) of the Puget Sound Career Development Association, one of the nation’s largest regional associations of career counselors, and in 1998 received their Lifetime Membership Award. Tom wrote the scripts for two interviewing DVDs, You've Graduated, What Now?, (geared for recent college graduates), and Interview Power the DVD (geared for job seekers 28-65. You've Graduated, What Now?, is found in hundreds of colleges. Both received strong reviews when they were first marketed. Both videos emphasize the importance of sharing stories and examples in interviews and both effectively demonstrate how to do that.
