About the Book

En 1953 William Auld invitis Marjorie Boulton korespondi uzante rondelojn. Ŝi tuj akceptis la duelinviton. Dum periodo naŭ-monata la duopo inter-ŝanĝis 84 poŝt-kartojn verkitajn laŭ tiu stilo, montrante sian junaĝan vervon kaj vivlongan spriton. La tekstoj konserviĝis, kaj nun vi, kara leganto, povas konatiĝi kun tiu sendube unika fenomeno, reeldonita omaĝe al tiuj elstaraj esperantistoj precize cent jarojn post ilia naskiĝo.

About the Author :
William Auld estis la unua persono nomumita por la Premio Nobel pri Literaturo pro verko en la Internacia Lingvo, ĉefe pro sia majstro-verka originalaĵo, la 25 ĉapitrojn longa poemego La infana raso, publikigita en 1956, kiam li estis ĉe la pinto de sia poezia potenco. Preskaŭ duon-jar-centon poste li elektis ĝin kiel unu inter tri verkoj, kiujn li kunprenus, se oni ekzilus lin al dezerta insulo, por memorigi min pri kio mi iam kapablis. Auld estis unu el la dek pli bonaj kandidatoj en 1999, kaj same en 2004 kaj 2006, kiam oni pliajn fojojn kandidatigis lin. Precipe pro tiu ĉi unua nom-umo ĵurio aranĝita de La Ondo de Esperanto elektis lin la unua Esperantisto de la Jaro en 1999. Marjorie Boulton estis elstara ambasadoro por la Esperanto komunumo, kaj tiel amata en ĝi, ke ŝian familian nomon oni apenaŭ uzis parolante pri ŝi: ŝi estis simple Marjorie, unu el la plej el-staraj poetoj en Esperantujo. Fekundega aŭtoro, ŝi verkis teatr-aĵojn, poemojn kaj prozon en Espe--r-anto, kiuj kaptis la samajn korŝirecon kaj profundan patoson, kiel la plej bonaj etno-lingvaj ofertoj. En 2008 ŝi fariĝis la dua esperant-isto kandidat-igita por la Premio Nobel pri Literaturo.Ne siajn literaturaĵojn, tamen, ŝi konsideris sia plej valora kontribuo al Esperanto, sed siajn jar-dekojn da korespondado kun esperantistoj ĉirkaŭ la mondo, opiniante, ke per tio ŝi povos oferti al homoj malpli bonŝancaj ol ŝi ion pozitivan.
