Return to the Shadows: The Muslim Brotherhood and An-Nahda since the Arab Spring

The Arab Spring heralded a profound shift in the Middle East, bringing to power Islamist movements which had previously been operating in the shadows. About the Author :
Alison Pargeter is an analyst and writer specialising in the Middle East and North Africa. She has held academic positions at the University of Cambridge and Kings College, London, and is now a senior associate at Menas Associates, an international research consultancy. She regularly briefs policymakers on issues relating to North Africa and political Islam. Her previous publications include The Muslim Brotherhood: From Opposition to Power, The New Frontiers of Jihad: Radical Islam in Europe and Libya: The Rise and Fall of Gaddafi.
