About the Book

Vultures wheeled overhead as Tim Watson found himself running out of fuel in the desert. Indeed he had many hair-raising encounters in his 8,000-mile ride around small-town America - severe dust storms, mountain snow, an angry rattlesnake and even angrier racoon, not to mention weird folk. His account, informative and hilarious, is a must for armchair adventurers and anyone who has ever wondered what small-town America is really like.

Table of Contents:
Tim learned to ride only after buying his Harley - the learning curve was painful. Taking a good hard look at life beyond the city lights. Riding into Tombstone, scene of the OK Corral gunfight, and finding a bar full of sobbing hard-core bikers. Staying at a top motel that looks straight out of a sci-fi comic. Discovering the biggest military aircraft graveyard. Nevada brothels and casinos and what to watch out for. Extra-terrestrial activity and its 'interesting' followers. Accidentally riding with an outlaw motorcycle club. Wyoming street party with the world's worst rock band and beer from a pick-up.

About the Author :
After 28 years as a senior executive in the automotive industry working for Ferrari, Aston Martin and then Jaguar, Tim Watson gave it all up and lived on the road for several months while motorcycling around the USA to see what truly lies around the next corner of the richest nation on earth. Born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, he lived near Banbury, Oxfordshire, before moving to Los Angeles.
