About the Book

Whether you are a residential or commercial HVAC technician, have years of experience or are just starting your career, you will enjoy the benefits of taking a fresh new walk through HVAC systems—and hearing a relatable, funny story or two.

HVAC technicians are good at what they do. They can hear the sound of a good compressor and read a flame. They know the sights, sounds, and smells of an HVAC system. This work strives to move this understanding to the next level. As HVAC technicians continue to hone their skills, it's essential to know the engineering concepts that lie behind the important work. The author wants readers to be clear in how they explain systems, wise in their understanding, and fully engaged in the technical marvels of HVAC systems.

HVAC Technician’s Guide presents foundational theory in an approachable format and is intended for practicing HVAC technicians who want to expand their understanding of the HVAC profession. It is also suitable for students in HVAC programs as an adjunct to their hands-on experience.
