About the Book

At the Village Blend, Clare Cosi realizes her best baristas may refer to a decaffeinated espresso as a "why bother?" but knows that a good percentage of her customers prefer the neutered brew. So when an old friend of her ex-husband develops the world's first botanically decaffeinated coffee bean and smuggles it into the country, Clare believes it's a business opportunity she needs to investigate--at least until the first dead body shows up. With casualties piling up and a complicated blend of old and new loves muddying the waters, it's up to Clare to find the murderer before one of her nearest and dearest takes the fall. Otherwise, her latest addition to the menu will prove to be a real buzz killer.

Review :
Coyle displays a deep understanding of coffee [and] coffee shop culture. If you haven't yet discovered the series, you should. -- "Baristo.net, praise for the series" Great characters, smooth plotting, and top-notch writing, it's no wonder these books are bestsellers. -- "Cozy Library, praise for the series" The book is fun to read, as have been all of the Coffeehouse Mysteries that I've read up to the present. Each novel contains recipes in the back of the book, and coffee-making tips are scattered throughout the story. -- "SharedReviews.com" The novels are quick reads, making them the perfect late-summer beach book or a quiet diversion after the kids return to school. You also get a fun, yet serious, education on all things coffee. The back of the books even contain recipes of some of the deserts and coffee drinks made during the course of the story. -- "Yahoo.com, praise for the series"
