About the Book

Songwriter Dahlia Green has lost her midas touch--not that she ever really had it to begin with. Okay, so a few of the songs she wrote were recorded, but business has disastrously dried up and she's convinced no lucky break is lurking around the corner. Unless, that is, Dahlia can convince her estranged cousin, Sunny, to forgo the rights to a song they cowrote years before. But there's a problem: it's been twenty-five years since Dahlia last saw her and Sunny has spent her adult life in and out of mental hospitals. What begins as a selfish scheme to find her at all costs, however, evolves into a journey suffused with love that will enrich Dahlia's life and enable her to fulfill a promise she made long ago.

About the Author :
Iris Rainer Dart is an American author and playwright. She is best known for her novel Beaches, which was made into a film of the same name. Her other novels include I'll Be There, The Stork Club, and Some Kind of Miracle. She has also written several stage musicals as well as for television shows, such as The Sonny and Cher Show. Moira Driscoll's theatrical credits include numerous productions Off-Broadway and at theaters throughout the United States and Europe. She has appeared on television in Law & Order, Cosby, and One Life to Live. Her voice has been featured on PBS and NPR and in audiobooks, as well as in museum exhibits across the country.

Review :
"[Moira Driscoll's] characterizations exhibit individualism and depth, particularly those of the two cousins...[and showcase her] compassion for complex people and situations." -- "AudioFile" "Dart again demonstrates her considerable talent for showcasing sympathetic characters facing serious situations with grace and aplomb." -- "Booklist" "Dart keeps the story moving at a fast clip with generous helpings of weddings, funerals, sing-alongs, and spontaneous disrobings of the (gorgeous) Sunny. These made-for-the-movies moments are balanced by Dahlia's acerbic wit." -- "Publishers Weekly"
