Review :
"The second edition of Essentials of Veterinary Ophthalmology is an excellent resource for general practitioners and a convenient quick-reference textbook for veterinary ophthalmologists. The photographs clearly illustrate the diseases and techniques described. The drawings of surgical techniques in the book are superb... This book will be useful to all veterinary practitioners, including practitioners who work with large animals and exotic animals." - Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, December 2008 "The second edition... draws on clinical experience to provide a quick reference format, making it a fine pick for busy vets seeking a rapid consultation and diagnosis device. More images, a more convenient layout, and a reference to dosage, side effects and more make this reference more practical than ever." - Midwest Book Review, November 2008 "Expert coverage in a concise and quick-reference format. This edition includes algorithms to speed the clinical problem-solving process... A glossary at the conclusion of the book is particularly helpful for students trying to master the vocabulary of ophthalmology. This second edition represents an improvement over the first edition with the addition of new tables, new appendixes, and more photographs. The author had a daunting task to reduce the main textbook that is the 'blue bible' into a more digestible form for practitioners and students, and he has ... succeeded in his goal." - Doody's Book Reviews, October 2008 "Useful line diagrams, together with both black and white and colour photographs, are found throughout the book, the latter being essential for such a visual subject as ophthlalmology. This is a useful book." - Veterinary Record, December 2008 "Essentials does exactly what it says on the cover: provides essential, fundamental information in a concise and easy-to-follow format, with key points in bold type - and quite a few more images than in the first edition." - Veterinary Practice, June 2008
