About the Author :
Robert V. Smith is Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Interim Dean at the Honors College, and Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Arkansas. The author holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

His engaging, useful book should be in the library of anyone who is asked to make presentations...The Elements of Great Speechmaking probably won't make the job any easier, but if you follow Smith's superb recommendations, it should make you a far more effective speaker. I am engrossed with your book The Elements of Great Speechmaking!...I'm highlighting whole segments, and so thrilled to add it to my section of autographed books in my library. I find the book very useful especially with regard to giving speeches.
