Our ladies study group began this book in September of 2020 and it carried us through a pandemic, lock-downs and a world filled with fear and uncertainty. Deb Burma helped us see the dire circumstances St. Paul was in when he wrote Philippians and how he found joy in all his circumstances! Excellent study and the perfect time! Thank you Deb and especially, thank you Jesus!

I absolutely loved this study! Deb Burma has a way of writing that is engaging and insightful. She always points to Christ and gives wonderful, real life applications of Scripture for you to use. I loved how she brought in examples from her own life to help us understand the message. This study of Philippians is one that will stick with you for a long time. I especially loved how she talked about Paul in prison and how he could still experience joy in the midst of difficult circumstances. This is a great study to do on your own or with a group. I highly recommend using the videos with this study too. Deb draws you in as she speaks and is a joy to listen to. The JOY of Jesus is at the heart of this study. It's a must!

"With warmth and wisdom, Deb Burma challenges and encourages the reader to examine Paul's timeless teachings to the Philippians. Easy to read and personal, with helpful "special deliveries" and relatable stories, Deb invites the reader into a deeper understanding of God's definition of joy through His Word. Thought-provoking questions allow the reader to consider joy through God's lens and not that of the world. And in doing so, just like Paul, we, too, can be genuinely filled with joy an find reasons to rejoice every day!
