Al Davis, M.S., M.A., teaches mathematics in the public schools (grades 1-5) in Champaign, Illinois. He previously taught English and business writing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has written extensively on education problems, among many other subjects. He received his M.S. from the University of Illinois, and he passed the ICTS tests in 2002. David M. Myton, Ph.D., is Chair, School of Education, and Associate Professor of Chemistry and Education at Lake Superior State University. Dr. Myton received his Ph.D. and M.S.T. from Portland State University. His areas of specialty include teacher education and environmental chemistry. Renay M. Scott, Ph.D., is Chair, Teacher Education and Professional Development at Central Michigan University. She has served as a social studies teacher in middle and high school. She is currently the President of the Michigan Council for the Social Studies and a former Social Studies Educator of the Year. Dr. Scott has written numerous articles and given numerous presentations on social studies education, methodology and curriculum. Karen Bondarchuk, M.F.A., teaches in the Foundation Art Program at Western Michigan University. She has been very active in elementary art education. Lychner, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Music Education at Western Michigan University. He has taught in public schools in St. Louis County, Missouri and in Tallahassee, Florida. His Ph.D. is from Florida State University in Music Education. In addition to his work with instrumentalists, he has taught 6th and 7th grade general music and has had numerous articles published in academic music journals. Janet E. Rubin, Ph.D., is Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Department of Theatre at Saginaw Valley State University. She has served as national president of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education and has received several prestigious research awards from her university. Dr. Rubin has shared her work through numerous publications and national and international presentations. Ellen R. Van't Hof, M.A., received an M.A. in Communication Arts and Sciences/Dance from Western Michigan University. She did post-master's work in a doctoral dance education program at Temple University. Since 1976 she has been a professor of dance at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is now the director of Calvin's dance program. She has presented at many state, national, and international dance conferences on the topics of dance education, dance history, integrated arts, Multiple Intelligence Theory, and sacred dance. Nelson Maylone Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at Eastern Michigan University. He has served as a middle grades and high school mathematics teacher, and an elementary and middle school administrator. He is a former NASA NEWMAST fellow. His doctoral dissertation, which examined the relationship between school district socioeconomic status and student achievement, won the Midwest Dissertation of the Year award from Phi Delta Kappa in 2002. Ginny Muller, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Teacher Education at Saginaw Valley State University. She has served as a classroom teacher and a curriculum consultant at the preschool, elementary, and middle school levels. Her doctoral dissertation, which examined the relationship between successful language acquisition and reading success in a cleft palate population, won the Robert Fox Award for academic excellence at the University of Michigan.
