About the Book

This title aims to lead ophthalmologists away from just looking at the eye, and to view the patient as a whole, in order to aid in differential diagnosis. It comprehensively covers all systemic diseases associated with the eye. The book is divided into three parts. Part one, shows different ocular conditions and related signs, and gives the systemic diseases associated with them. Part two covers the differential diagnosis of systemic signs, and is again highly illustrated. Finally, part three links the different ocular and systemic features and signs together.

About the Author :
Jack Kanski is arguably the best-known author in ophthalmology worldwide. His textbook Clinical Ophthalmology, published by Butterworth-Heinemann, is a competitor to our Spalton, and is the current textbook of choice for ophthalmology trainees and optometrists worldwide. He is also the author of our extremely successful Ophthalmology: Clinical Signs and Differential Diagnosis, published in 1998 under the Mosby imprint. His previous projects have mainly beenpublished by Butterworth, but he has come to Harcourt because of our style of presentation and strong presence in the US ophthalmology market.

Review :
"I highly recommend this book as a handy reference in the consulting room ." Ian Douglas, Clinical and Experimental Optometry (84.6), November 2001 in focus and scope...The illustrations are excellent, the format is thoughtfull and the topic interesting..very readable" Tony Tsai
