Review :
An innovative book with an impressive pedigree I was delighted to review this revised edition, from Hodder Murray's 'Religion in Focus' series, as the original version of this excellent textbook had supported me and various mixed ability GCSE groups to examination success since 1999. This new edition, rewritten to update information and widen its relevance to include specifications other than AQA, especially Edexcel, does not disappoint. Its pedigree remains impressive, with a wide range of well-respected professionals from the world of RE and members of the Muslim faith supporting its production. Most importantly the author team are experienced teachers and trainers who were involved in the development of the GCSE Short Course specifications for Religious Studies. It is illustrated throughout with pictures and photographs that engage the reader and stimulate ideas. The book is divided into three areas: 'An Islamic world view', 'Thinking about Allah' and the final and largest sec RE Today
