About the Author :
Perry Share lectures in Sociology and is Head of the Department of Humanities at the Institute of Technology, Sligo. Founder member and former secretary of the Irish Association of Social Care Educators (IASCE). Co-author of A Sociology of Ireland 2nd edition published by Gill & Macmillan. Niall McElwee is director of the Centre for Child and Youth Care Learning at the Institute of Technology, Athlone. Founder member and president of the Irish Association of Social Care Educators and founding editor of the Irish Journal of Applied Social Studies. Author of several texts in the area of Social Care.
