About the Author :
Jerry is an experienced banker, financial consultant and business management analyst. He holds a Masters Degree in Financial Services Management from the University of Surrey, London, a diploma in Credit Union Management from the University of Wisconsin, USA and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute. Jerry commenced his career in banking in 1981, progressing thereafter to the investment and credit union industries where he served in several technical and senior management capacities before founding Calidad Financial Services Inc in 2004 and the Caribbean Center for Organizational Excellence in 2012. He conceptualized and developed the Calidad Financial Integration (CFin) Model(TM), a sixteen (16) dimensional integrated organizational assessment and development tool for the purpose of assisting organizations achieve excellence and high performance in the areas of strategy, operations, human resource and financial management. The CFin Model is based on the conviction that the financial performance of an organization is primarily the end result of varied actions and decisions taken by the organization and when done in an environment of excellence results in opportunities for long term growth and economic development. Conceived as an important step to practically addressing economic and social challenges at the organizational level, the CFin Model(TM) is driven by his philosophy that: Organizations optimize performance and are successful because they subscribe and adhere to a framework of excellence and consequently are better positioned to emerge as high performing businesses and benefit from improved usage of organizational resources. The Blue Book, a series of applied organizational excellence principles, designed to evoke critical thinking, are drawn from his experience working with public and private sector organizations across and outside the Caribbean, advising them in the areas of strategy, operations, leadership and financial management.
