1. A FEW WORDS FROM THE AUTHOR:
Hi, I am Andrew Dong, a passionate children's book author. I have worked as a story designer, illustrator and voice actor. Nothing makes me happier than engaging kids' love of learning.
I was inspired to write this book, Andy the Alligator Learns His ABC's, while I was observing how kids learn the alphabet. Although there are plenty of books on this topic, kids still often find them too dry. I collected the most relevant vocabulary words and topics for children in the K-3 grade range and then connected them using cute animals, names, alliteration, aesthetic themes, and treasure-hunting interactive games. I iterated the book by seeking feedback from kids and parents, as well as teaching the book myself.
I am truly grateful for the very positive reviews from my readers, including a Hall of Fame Top 10 Reviewer of Amazon. I hope that the book becomes an interesting and helpful part of the early learning experience for as many kids as possible. I also hope for Andy the Alligator to become a fond friend of your loving family!
HI FROM ANDY (AN INTRODUCTION FROM THE MAIN CHARACTERS):
Andy wants to learn the alphabet! He is an Alligator with an undying love of airplanes; In his free time, he often practices acrobatics with aliens! He has a group of interesting and funny friends: from Grace, the golf-loving, golden giraffe, to Mary, a mall-managing magical monkey... Andy never has a shortage of supportive friends to help him figure out the ABC's!
Andrew Dong's children's picture book is infused with imaginative and entertaining illustrations which are bound to both educate and entertain! Each page features a letter, with a theme intricately connecting many objects starting with that letter. Kids at any reading level can all learn hundreds of words, from basic colors to elementary school-level adjectives by observing the illustrations.
The book is designed to let both parents and kids have fun time together beyond just learning the alphabet. The creative alliteration on each page is fun for the kids to read along with their parents. Finding Andy on every page is an added challenge that will certainly keep kids hooked and on their toes. The "Letter Party" page in the end of the book encourages the kid to find all the friends having fun together in one place. How exciting!
Have fun reading, laughing and learning the alphabet alongside your friend, Andy the Alligator!

Review :
1. From "Hall of Fame, Top 10 Review of Amazon" "This book for children helps to teach the ABCs. Each page is dedicated to a letter and has numerous items that begin with that letter. The letter is further reinforced by being a different color. Each page also has fun pictures of items that match the letter. The book goes through the entire alphabet."
2. "My kids and I read this fun alphabet book together in two session at bed-time story time. It is sooo fun! Because of the scavenger hunting game, the kids were so engaged. I sensed that they were inspired by the style of this book to generate more vocabulary. This book is definitely appropriate for 2-4th graders as they have already have stored some words in their little head and can relate really well to the content and whimsical illustrations. Great alphabet book to keep in your library and to inspire your kids."
3. "My two sons really like this book. It teaches useful vocabulary, but there's also a fun factor of looking for the visual representations of the vocab. The younger brother will ask the older brother what a word means, and after the older brother explains, they look for the corresponding image together. They have a lot of fun with this book all the time. A fantastic book. Great for the family, fun and helpful."
4. "Both my 6 year old and 2 year old love it a lot! The illustrations are very cute and connects very well with the words taught on the page. It is interesting that each page has a hidden alligator that my kids love to look for, and they're always super excited when they find it. The book teaches kids letters, words, colors, shapes, animals and more - perfect for children 2-8 years old. Great book!"
5. "I am a mother of two daughters and this is the most amazing "learn to read" book that I have found to date. I love the colorful pictures, the repeating letters and the awesome scavenger hunts on every page. I highly recommend this book to any parent who wants her child to learn while also having fun!"
