The suspense and adventure continues in this second book of the The Devereaux Chronicles. This time, the brothers find themselves stranded at a rustic ski lodge just as an epic snowstorm hits.
That situation works out well for Scott, who is trying to reconnect with an old flame. But he soon realizes that there is little time for romance when their chances of even surviving the storm are dwindling rapidly.
A mysterious bootlegger is operating out of the lodge and wants the brothers out of his way, permanently. And while trying to learn his identity before that can happen, their true nemesis arrives.
Bigfoot, a beast that is stronger, smarter and more dangerous than any they've dealt with before. And this time it's personal and the creature will not stop hunting the Devereaux brothers until it gets its retribution.
About the Author :
Debbie Boek is an independent author who lives in upstate New York. She currently has published three historical romance novels, If Not For The Knight, When the Knight Falls and Sommers' Folly. Debbie has also published three books in the Devereaux Chronicles series, Devil's Bait, Devil's Retribution and Devil's Gathering. They are supernatural thrillers involving a different spirit or cryptid in each story, ghosts, demons, witches, and even Bigfoot come to visit. Horror in general, and ghost stories more specifically, are her favorite, which is how the Devereaux Chronicles series came to be. However, her original passion was for historical romances and so that genre must also be revisited periodically.
