About the Book
This is THE comprehensive presentation - the "bible" - of generational dynamics; a "hybrid" of both (1) personal-life generational insights and (2) generational business strategies covering leadership, communication, marketing, human resources, higher education, religion, government, and much, much - much - more.
Here, from one of the pioneers of generational study, is the most mesmerizing, joyous, enlightening, and life-altering stroll your brain will ever take. It will stir fresh new conversations, ideas, and insights and permanently change the way you view yourself and others.
You'll learn about your own generation. And your parents' and kids' generations. Your friends. Classmates. Coworkers. Bosses. Neighbors. Government leaders. Business leaders. Everybody.
A stroll through the lives of America's living generations. Millennials. Generation X. Baby Boomers. Silent Generation. And the G.I. or "Greatest" Generation.
Storytelling at its best. And bottom-line business strategy at its best...
... from the generational speaker, trainer, consultant, and host of the PBS national-television series America's Generations With Chuck Underwood, whose work has been evaluated by audiences and readers as "stunningly relevant", "in one word, perfect", "way cool!", "brilliant", and "clearly the front-runner in generational studies".
Chuck is one of the half-dozen people on planet Earth who, a few decades ago, accidentally came upon the notion - just a gut hunch - that "generation" somehow meant something far more important than anyone realized.
Prepare to laugh, cry, look back, look ahead, craft a long list of generational business strategies, and never view the people in your life the same way....

Review :
> LOVE this book and love the author.
> I attended a lecture by Mr. Underwood and he was a spellbinding speaker. I plan to purchase his DVDs next. His information is amazing and helps explain in detail the reasons why each of the generations are what they are and what made them that way. I highly recommend his book.
> Amazing book! This should be a required book for High Schools and Colleges! Love It!!
> Artfully written book about how to talk to, market to, work with and manage anyone from any of the living generations is a Must Read. I coordinate a (Chicago) direct marketing association BOOK CLUB and though we read it a few years ago we STILL reference it! My copy is totally dog-earned. It's well researched, reasoned, and the information is laid out logically so it's easy to absorb. Besides having wonderful business applications, I found I understand myself that much better, too. My personal and professional lives have benefited. This book should be read by everyone 18 and over and should be used as a textbook in all institutes of higher learning for training prospective business graduates how to mature, learn and grow professionally and personally.
> At the top of my must-read list. A quick, easy, entertaining read that will open your eyes and feed your mind.
> After reading this book, I had a greater understanding as to why each generation is so different from the other.
> Well-documented;a terrific mind-opener explainer of mysterious dynamics for anyone trying to reach the general public in our culture today.
> Understanding my Silent partner, my Gen-X children, Boomer self, and our interactions was definitely worth the time. It answered many puzzling questions in my relationships with those closest to me.
> I have been trying to determine how to deal with and understand the differences between Pre-boomers, Boomers, Gen X[ers] and Millennials. Underwood's book describes the differences in straightforward language and then gives ideas on how to deal with the differences. Though geared to the business community, I found it essential reading as an academic administrator.
> This is one book ALL should read for a better understanding of our generations. Very detailed and easily understood. Is presented by explaining the generations, mine being the SILENTS, under different situations and the reactions of each generation. EVERYONE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO READ THIS ONE.
> An excellent overview of five generations and what drives each one. If you are having trouble understanding or getting along with someone, this book may help you to communicate more effectively.
> Comprehensive, clear, an easy and informative read. Choose it as a textbook for a university course. > I've been hoping for this revised book ever since Chuck Underwood wrote the first one.....GENERATIONAL IMPERATIVES. I refer to it in all my classes (graduate courses for teachers and guidance counselors) and recommend it very highly. I wish there was a course for me to teach on this subject using Chuck Underwood's latest book as a text. This book is a "must" for persons working with this generation.
