About the Book

"Hannah the Honeybee Has a Dream" is the first picture book in the series "Hannah the Honeybee and Friends" about the life and adventures of Hannah and her best friend, Collette. This first book is about 'making a difference, ' with the aim to show my readers that we can all contribute to society in our own way. We don't have to be rich or famous or like anyone else to make a difference. It is more important to be ourselves. Writing about bees is intentional, with the aim of teaching my readers the importance of bees to our planet. The more research I did, the more I fell in love with these tiny, hardworking creatures! I hope that the same love will develop in my young readers. Hannah, my main character, is always there if anyone needs a helping hand or an advocate. Her best friend, Collette, is never far from her side. Collette can be absent-minded, and easily distracted, but she is also kind, loyal and friendly to everyone she meets which is why she is Hannah's closest friend. As worker bees, these two friends are busy from morning to night. They head out at first light to collect pollen and nectar. They build and protect the hive. Life couldn't be better. So what could have happened for Hannah to be so downcast today? Why would she want to eat on her own and head straight to bed? Collette certainly has no idea! Thankfully, Hannah dreams tonight and everything becomes clear to her. What a difference a day can make.

About the Author :
I was born in Townsville, North Queensland but have lived in Brisbane, Melbourne, Singapore and the Gold Coast before moving back to Townsville to care for my now 95 year old father. Most of my adult life has been spent as a Pastor, both in Singapore and Australia. I have always loved children and cared about their welfare, so writing seemed to be a way to express those feelings and to aspire to help young ones see their worth and teach other important life lessons along the way. I am only at the start of this journey and have much to learn but I do believe I have some important things to say. Andrew is one of the contributors with The Illustrators, a graphic design and illustration company in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. Their work has been published by Warner Bros, BHP, 7-Eleven, and the Australian Government. They help brands tell their story through design and illustration.

Review :
I purchased "Hannah the Honeybee has a dream" for my kindle as soon as I found it! Hannah reminds me that we often can't see the impact we have on our corner of the world. We can think our lives are insignificant when really we make a difference just by being who we are meant to be. The illustrations are very nice and I think a book copy would make a lovely gift for that budding book worm or bee lover! Congrats to Lyn Rose on her first book offering. ❤️ (PS Can I get your autograph please!) A beautiful book with a great message for children. Love the illustrations. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
