5 Star Reviews - Endorsement: Luciano Saber-Hollywood Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Director, and Producer-described Without Warning by Jed Hart, as intriguing and engaging. "Jed is a very gifted writer," Luciano Saber stated. "Without Warning is simple, clean, and to the point, giving the reader a look inside the character's soul." Luciano Saber could relate to the story because he encountered similar personalities during his tours of duty. "Jed Hart's novel rang true, as did many other story elements, like the 9mm semi-automatic gift from the Sultan. I also appreciated how Jed got into the characters' heads, giving the reader a glimpse into the dark places where they live. Another passage that stayed with me is after the love encounter with Nicole, he says... 'In the warm glow of that amazing moment, I murmured a mental prayer of farewell to my beautiful wife.' That passage will resonate with everyone that suffered heartache over lost love," Saber added; Jed Hart has written a spellbinding account of life in the modern fast lane. This book intertwines so many intricate plots of old war heros, terrorism, religious fanaticism, big international business, and love and loyalty, that once started it is hard to put down. The book is very readable and believable and carries an amazing amount of exciting operational detail within all the subplots. Jake Hunt and Nicole Roswell are strong credible characters with depth and substance. The plot has many twists and turns which makes this novel hard to put down. Jed's Vietnam War experience and his years flying helicopters around the world has provided a sound background for this novel. For one not so technically minded I thought I might lost in the detail. Not so and I found Without Warning an great read. I have really enjoyed the first in the Jake Hunt series and look forward to further adventures for Jake and Nicole in Catch 33. Sharyn McDonald; Rated 5 out of 5 Frank McKeon July 10, 2020 I very much enjoyed the fast-paced action as the story unfolded from countryside England to Heathrow, to Brunei then Singapore and looked forward to each succeeding chapter as the tension mounted. Roll-on Jake's next adventure in the Global oil and gas industry: BLOCK 33; Rated 5 out of 5 Peter James July 26, 2020; From start to finish I was drawn in by this well researched story laced with authentic insights from the authors personal experiences. As the race to stop a deadly terrorist arm from wreaking havoc on Brunei hots up, so too does Jake's desire for his partner in crime, Nicole Roswell. And, as the high-stakes climb to fever-pitch, so too does the suspense. WITHOUT WARNING is brilliantly written for those who love to read...on the edge of your seat! Bravo JED HART; Slip Stream Review - Jed Hart's novel, Without Warning is an engrossing thriller, which moves between the UK and Brunei, where most of the action takes place. The story is partly autobiographical, taking in Jed's flying days in the Navy, especially his Vietnam War experiences and later ones in the commercial world. Those who know Jed will wonder if that is the extent of the autobiographical flavour! Most, if not all of the locations mentioned in the book are genuine (at least as far as Google Maps is concerned!) thus lending an authentic feel to the narrative. The story revolves around the planning and conduct of a major terrorist operation in Brunei, and a strong and complex UK linkage, including the unwitting involvement of a UK-based aviation company with extensive operations in Brunei. The main characters, Jake Hunt, pilot turned aviation executive and his engineer colleague, Nicole Roswell, are very credible and easily relatable to for readers. Supporting characters are also well crafted, especially those involved in the terrorist plot. Among the real strengths of the book are the insights into terrorist groups and their methods as well as the creation of real tension at many points in the story. The plot is complex and the narrative builds in a way that maintains suspense to the very end. "Without Warning" is a definite page turner and this reviewer is looking forward to book two of the Jake Hunt series.
