About the Author :
Geraldine is a mother, wife, friend and also a daughter herself. She travelled this difficult road right alongside her daughter, Lisa, throughout the good, the bad and the ugly side of all things cancer. For those people coping with cancer and wondering if you are still normal... yes, you are still normal. Lisa and Geraldine have shared their private thoughts and moments to redefine that word for you. Lisa navigated the minefield that is cancer just after turning 30 years old. Her friends, family and colleagues had told her for years that she should put her thoughts into writing. Four years into her journey with cancer, she decided to begin. Heartbreakingly honest, raw and direct in her writing, Lisa tells you her story with no holds barred. She didn't write her blog to offer enlightenment. There was no motive to make you radically change your diet or start chanting at a full moon. She wrote the blog for her. And for her family.

Review :
"Lisa was in life about as brave a soul as you could hope to come across and now she's left her words of courage to help others navigate in times of darkness. Inspiring, brave and giving describe Lisa, and this wonderful book just backs that up." JOHN CALDWELL (CEO - RWR Group) "It's a testament to how much you have affected so many, Lisa, with your honesty and at times harrowing account of this hideous disease. I pray you are comfortable and know that so many here have you in their thoughts. Be proud of yourself for sharing this journey with us, and I hope we have at times helped you along the way. You are an inspiration to so many, Lisa. If we can be half as amazing as you in life, then we are blessed." SHARON PECK "You are my inspiration even though we have different cancers. Hearing and reading your blog helps us to keep fighting even when we have been given the worst news ever from our oncologists. Your humour and wit are fab. You make us all smile, cry and laugh out loud and wish that we could be there for you. It's amazing how many hearts YOU have touched, ROCKSTAR." MAYANA WILSON "Keep fighting, our inspiring, strong and truly amazing fighter ... You are still here for a reason. You continue to inspire. You continue to change lives. Your mission isn't finished yet. I desperately want you out of pain. Your friends that have gone before went with you in their hearts. Don't forget that." SIMONE LEIGH "Here you are still finding the energy to let us all know what's happening. I don't think I know of any of the correct words to describe how amazing you are to all of us and how inspirational you have been to me personally. THANK YOU." JULES JULES "Lisa, you are a beautiful person, with an even more beautiful soul. You can make me laugh then cry in an instant. I'm angry for you. I'm sad for your loved ones, and yet I'm happy that I have found your blog as you have made me a better person..." LISA SUTHERLAND TAYLOR "You are truly inspiring. As a person dying from end stage lung disease, you have me thinking differently. The timelines are what we make. Every day is a gift to be made the most of." MARNIE PENGELLY "You are one amazing woman and are teaching me so much about really living and being real. Just love you." SHEILA WEDEGIS "Your transparency is awe inspiring and breathtaking, sadly not in the fabulous pair of shoes kind of way but an altogether different way. I want to thank you for your magnificent courage and eternal gift of words. You inspire me every day to laugh louder, love harder and live longer." SIOUX WHITTAKER "What an amazing woman you are! You are the chief Rockstar after all. Sending love to you all." CHRISTINE SMITH "I am so relieved to be reading this blog while sitting propped up in my bed. I am only just starting my terminal journey, but your writing, humour and, best of all, honesty make me realise I will be able to give as best a fight as I can to this b****rd and will not be afraid. I respect you and admire you so much for still giving to others while everything else seems to be being taken away from you and your family." JOANNE JAGGER "Dear God, Lisa, we're all faced with a terrible dilemma. We want your pain to end but fear what that will bring. And words fail me. They just seem so inadequate to summarise the love and support we're all so desperate to show you all. Wishing you a bit of respite and quality time with loved ones." THOMAS WILTON-RUMNEY
