About the Author :
Michael K. Lyons is a native of New York City with professional experience in journalism, advertising, sales, and marketing. He serves as Chief Marketing Officer, PASEAN Region, with Eli Lilly & Company. Michael began his career as a newspaper reporter in the press room of the Staten Island Advance in New York City, where he covered the range of controversial issues that arise in a New York news beat, as well as, interviewed popular personalities, such as, former Mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani, and worldwide best-selling novelist, Dean Koontz. At Young & Rubicam New York, a leading global advertising agency, Michael partnered on the strategic development of many popular brands including Sony, Pepperidge Farms, Jell-O, and the launch of Colgate Total. Since joining the pharmaceutical industry, Michael has been the grateful recipient of top recognition, including the Marketing Excel and President Council Awards. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a Certificate from Harvard Business School and New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University at Albany. Michael has been awarded as a leader in his community and is a City of Indianapolis recipient of the 2013 Citizen's Energy Community Leader Award. He sits on the Board of the Indianapolis Art Center and in the American Chamber of Commerce, Thailand. He, his wife and their son live in Bangkok, Thailand.
