About the Book

The web-page creation program Dreamweaver deploys a rich, well-designed WISYWYG environment for building cross-platform, cross-browser websites; but unlike most visual editors, it doesn't clutter up the underlying HTML code by inserting unnecessary tags that make large websites difficult to manage. Dreamweaver is a favourite of multimedia designers, with its smooth integration with other Macromedia applications like Flash and Shockwave. Dreamweaver 4 incorporates developments in browser technologies, and this text provides a companion to the complex software. After orientation with an anatomical tour of a web page, the book goes through the entire process of creating and designing a complete website. Along the way, a "live-examples" approach allows the reader to see and test, on the internet, real web pages that follow the development progress of the book's chapters.

Review :
'The front cover book of the book says that it is 'The Missing Manual - the book should have been in the box' meaning that it should be found within the software box and I am inclined to agree, as the manuals supplied by Macromedia, leave a great amount to be desired. So Macromedia take note, and hopefully replace the manual that comes with the software, with this book.' www.four-runner.com
