About the Book

This volume contains research papers presented at the conference entitled "Volterra Integrodifferential Equations in Banach Spaces and Applications" sponsored by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and Istituto Trentino di Cultura, held in Trento, Italy in February 1987. Contributions from many specialists in integrodifferential and abstract equations constituted an overview of the field. Many of these papers are devoted to questions such as existence regularity and wellposedeness, others are more concerned with applications problems and constitutive equations. Most of the interest at the conference was concentrated on Volterra equations and applications to viscoelasticity theory.
