About the Book

Welcome to the world of real possibility! Our award-winning children's book is packed with adventure, inspiration, and interests that will get your 9-11 year old child ready to take on the world. Written for both boys and girls, this role-model book is styled like bedtime stories to introduce your kids to the game changers in the world that they want to emulate as they get older. This must-have real-life adventure book will introduce your child to over 100 different possibilities and interests through 100 real-life role-models. These real stories about real people and the adversity they faced (racism, sexism, homophobia) will show your child that they can persevere no matter what they believe. As a hands-on and immersive kind of bedtime book that will motivate your child to be a trailblazer, we've included an activity with each story that will help spark your child's innate interests. All you need to do is sit back, read the stories out loud with your kids, and watch their eyes light up in wonder and awe.

About the Author :
Michigan is my home, Chicago is my heart. I am a new mom and a new author. I've spent the last 15 years in new product development dreaming up crazy ideas from how to "kill bugs dead" to developing new ice cream forms that hit shelves in 2020. I love thinking about things that the world needs and figuring out how to make them happen. When I was pregnant I got to thinking about what types of books I wanted to fill my library with. I started searching for this book and when it didn't exist, I decided to write it. I was laid off when I was 8 months pregnant and published my first book when my baby was 8 months old. Knowing in high school what I wanted to do with my life set me up for the right college, the right internship early and a leg up for that first job.I hope the same advantage for my child and was very interested in books to help me figure out what she might be interested in, but came up short. I hope this book might help inspire your child to not just "dream" - but to also "do".

Review :
"Dream It & Do It by Holly Sharp is a perfect book for young kids who want to find their place in this world and what they would like to be when they are older" - 5 star review, Readers Favorite "The difference between this book and some others isn't just the admonition to dream big, but to follow in the footsteps of others who made seemingly-impossible dreams a reality. The biographies go beyond simply outlining life accomplishments or adversity, stretching the subject into how each person succeeded in translating their vision and efforts into contributing to a better world. Problems are clearly outlined and the thinking which went into resolving them are reviewed so that young readers receive an idea of the problem-solving process." - Midwest Book Review Best New Product for Kids aged 5-8 Gold Winner for Anthologies, Essays & Collections. - Moms Choice Award First Place for Short Story Collections - Royal Dragonfly Awards "I am thrilled to share my story about the power of science. The journey to discovery itself is so interesting, but then to witness how it can improve people's lives is a thrill beyond description. Holly Sharp has done such a beautiful service to society in inspiring children to work hard and follow their passions." - Jean Bennett (geneticist helping reverse blindness) "Your work is very very important for kids. There is no wonder that you received a pre-launch 5 star review from "Readers' Favorite" - Majd Mashharawi (Founder of Materials Engineering Startup) "This helps children to create their own serendipity" -Gianna Gaudinin (Google event planner) Reading is for everyone and can help you achieve your own dream it and do it dreams--whatever they might be! - Dawn Wacek (librarian featured on Ted Talk) "I believe that young girls need to see role models in all professions, and young boys need to see women in these roles as well. While growing up, I wish I had the advice and vision this book offers to young people" - Rochelle Jones (one of FDNY's first female firefighters) "Holly Sharp has written a lovely book that is much needed in the world. I wish it was around when my daughter was young. "Dream It and Do It" increases the possibilities and expands a kid's worldview of what career choices there are in life."- David Kelley (Founder of IDEO design firm)
