Desktop Publishing Activities

This text introduces the student to the newest and the most commonly used desktop publishing features through skill-building exercises. It provides clear, concise introduction of generic desktop publishing concepts and vocabulary, which are presented using a sequential building-block approach. Hands-on, step-by-step exercises for each desktop publishing concept is covered. Designs for the text were created by professional graphic design consultants on the desktop expressly for this text. Estimated completion time is 35-120 hours depending on the number and type of activities assigned.

About the Author :
Iris Blanc is currently the Director of Virtual Enterprises, International, a New York City Department of Education program. Ms. Blanc has taught business education and computer applications at the high school and college levels for over thirty years. She was formerly the assistant principal/department chair of Business Education at Tottenville High School, a New York City public high school. Ms. Blanc conducts seminars, workshops, and short courses in applied learning strategies and methods of teaching and integrating technology at conferences nationwide.
