About the Author :
Classical guitarist Philip Hemmo has had the fortune to study with many of the world's most influential players and pedagogues. He holds degrees in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Arizona and Illinois State University. Mr. Hemmo has performed numerous concerts throughout the United States and Mexico. His teachers have included Thomas Patterson, Todd Seelye, and Douglas Rubio. Mr. Hemmo has participated in master classes/workshops with such performers as Sharon Isbin, William Kanengiser, David Russell, and Abel Carlevaro. He has served on the faculty of the University of Arizona as well as his current position directing the Guitar studies program for Pima Community College where he specializes in classical guitar pedagogy and private instruction.
