About the Book

Most of us have come to believe that sustenance comes only through money. We don't see that the non-human world lives without it. How? The birds, trees, wild beings of all sorts thrive without ever earning a cent. We turn away from what creates us in the mistaken belief that we 'buy' our lives. Is there another way of living, not in poverty but in rich energetic abundance that will ultimately provide all our needs? The answer is a resounding 'yes'. Connecting back to the energetic Web of Life is like plugging ourselves back into an energetic wall socket. "Reweaving the Web - a Journey of Shamanic Connection" is about the Web, what it is and how to consciously connect ourselves into it in our daily lives. This book is a result of my own life journey. It began with an experience in a turnip field in my native Suffolk, where my ancestors claimed me, and I them, for the first time. This experience took me on my own shamanic journey of discovery, which culminated in Dunedin in 2005 with a course I was asked to run. From out of this, and much more, the book poured. I have worked for many years in the field of Psychosynthesis, and shamanism enhancing the compatibility of the two.

About the Author :
Sparrowhawk (Jay) has lived on the Otago Peninsula since 1996. Prior to that she had a busy psychosynthesis practice in Sydney. In 1999 she began the Focus Transpersonal Psychosynthesis Training Course, which she ran in Dunedin until 2005. Since then she has written two books, of which "Reweaving" is the first to be published. She also facilitated "Self-Discovery with Psychosynthesis" a multi-part radio programme on Hills AM. She has now recommenced a small practice using shamanic and Psychosynthesis techniques for self-growth and personal development at the Carnegie Centre in Dunedin.

Review :
Judge Comments: Ashton Wylie Awards 'Reweaving the Web" is a powerful book that describes ancient, and often hidden, shamanic practices, showing they are just as relevant today as they ever have been. Reader Testimonials "'Reweaving the Web' is a wonderful book, written with love. The inspirational wisdom within its words occasionally challenged me, often fell on me like soft rain and constantly reminded me of what I already knew inside-that everything is connected.Everywhere, in all things, there is wisdom from which I can learn. Every pebble I throw into the water will send out ripples that meet the most distant of shores. I am filled with a new appreciation of the immense amazing gift that is Life. I can feel myself becoming softer and stronger at the same time. Thank you Sparrowhawk." "I started to read and havent been able to put it down. I stopped myself at chapter 5, just so that I wouldn't gobble it up too quickly, and savour the words. It reads as if you are sitting next to me talking to me.Already you have opened some new doors for me, and for that, my thanks. "This is a fascinating journey of spiritual discovery, linking the past to the present and to the future, reviving old wisdom and making it relevant for today. There are so many of us on the same journey, who can take heart from someone else on the road living the difficulties of the journey and sharing her wisdom to help and support us on our journey"
